Our Customers Love Us

“The food at Uncommon Ramen is always fresh and unbelievably delicious. I get the Basic Bowl and load it up with veggies and toppings, and it keeps me full and satisfied for days. I am health conscious, but I never feel guilty after eating at Uncommon. I go there twice a week because I seriously can't get enough!"

“I moved here from Japan four years ago, and I've been searching high and low for food that reminded me of home. Uncommon Ramen is the first place that brings me back to my childhood with an authentic, rich experience."

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We've got A's for your Q's

What does health insurance typically cover?

Health insurance coverage varies, but it often includes hospitalization, doctor visits, prescription medications, and preventive care. The specifics depend on the type of plan and the insurance provider.

Why do I need health insurance?

Health insurance provides financial protection against the high costs of medical care. It ensures that individuals can access necessary healthcare services without facing significant financial burdens.

What is a premium, deductible, and co-pay?

A premium is the amount you pay for your health insurance plan regularly. A deductible is the amount you must pay out of pocket for covered services before your insurance starts paying. A co-pay is a fixed amount you pay for certain services, usually at the time of service.

Are pre-existing conditions covered?

Under many health insurance plans, pre-existing conditions are covered. However, coverage details can vary. Some plans may have waiting periods, while others may offer immediate coverage. There are also medically underwritten plans that offer lower rates to policyholders without major pre-existing conditions.

Can I choose my healthcare provider with any health insurance plan?

Health insurance plans often have networks of preferred providers. While some plans allow you to see any doctor, going to an in-network provider usually results in lower out-of-pocket costs.

What is the difference between HMO and PPO plans?

Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plans typically require members to choose a primary care physician and get referrals for specialist visits. Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans offer more flexibility in choosing healthcare providers without requiring referrals but may have higher out-of-pocket costs for out-of-network services.

Can I get health insurance outside of the open enrollment period?

Generally, health insurance is obtained during the open enrollment period. However, certain life events, such as marriage, the birth of a child, or loss of other health coverage, may qualify you for a Special Enrollment Period.

Can I apply for insurance if I don't qualify for Special Open Enrollment?

Absolutely! While Special Open Enrollment provides a convenient opportunity to secure insurance coverage during certain life events, there are still viable options available even if you don't currently qualify for it.
